Arthur L. Orr was a renowned figure in the Nashville arts scene in the 1970's and 1980's.

His works on paper, large format board and canvas is characterized by severe geometric designs and gentle blending of brilliant hues. 

Arthur's work can be found in many public and corporate permanent collections including the Tennessee State Museum, the Peabody Museum and the Cheekwood Fine Arts Center in Nashville, as well as Atlanta’s High Museum, and the University of Illinois. Corporate collectors include BellSouth, Hospital Corporation of America, Northern Telecom, Bridgestone Tire Company, First American National Bank, and the Opryland Hotel.
